3. In electronic data management, data is collected and processed to fulfill various legal requirements.
   The legal basis for this is primarily the Waste Management Act 2002 - AWG 2002, see especially § 22 AWG 2002. Other legal bases are the Emission Protection Act for boiler systems - EG-K 2013, the Water Law Act 1959 - WRG 1959, the Emission Certificates Act 2011 - EZG 2011, the Radiation Protection Act - StrSchG, the Chemicals Act - ChemG 1996, the EU PRTR Regulation and the EU Waste Shipment Regulation.
4. Categories of recipients of the data are: competent authorities
5. In principle, there is a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
6. In principle, there is a right to information about the personal data concerned, as well as to restriction of processing and deletion.
7. Criteria for the duration of storage: The EDM mainly stores data from legal entities. For data from reports, these may be stored beyond the statutory minimum retention periods with regard to the traceability of historical development.
   
   The registered person can delete the data of other natural persons that he or she has entered in the register (e.g. contact persons). The final removal of this data from the overall system takes place after the usual retention period for the federal administration according to office regulations, ie. at the end of the tenth calendar year after the last processing operation.
