Accessibility statement

The Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) strives to make its websites accessible in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act Implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies (Official Journal L 327, 2.12.2016, p. 1).

This accessibility statement applies to the website edm.gv.at with the exception of the pages for closed groups.

Status of compliance with the requirements

This website complies for the most part with conformance level AA of the "Guidelines for Accessible Web Content Web - WCAG 2.1" and it is largely compatible with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08). Any incompatibilities are outlined below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is currently not fully accessible:

(a) Incompatibility with accessibility regulations.

- The heading structure is not yet optimal in some pages.

- In some pages, the semantics of HTML elements or properties still need to be adjusted.

- Sorting links are not yet meaningful enough in some tables.

- Contrast occasionally is not yet completely correct.

- Keyboard operability is not yet fully available for some elements.

- Status messages are not yet fully available for some dynamic text elements generated with the JavaScript script language.

- Error messages in forms are not yet optimal in some pages.

-  No search function or sitemap is as yet available.

- No responsive display is as yet available.

We are already working on solving these problems. We plan to fix them in the upcoming development cycles.

b) Disproportionate burden

The creation of subtitles or transcripts for older videos and the creation of WAI conformity for older PDF documents would represent a disproportionate burden in terms of accessibility regulations. In most cases, a textual explanation is available as an alternative.

c) Content is not governed by the applicable legislation.

No change is currently planned for documents and videos that are (still) exempt from Directive (EU) 2016/2102.
